Fixer Upper Farmhouse Style Decor Hack
For my Thrift Store Decor Upcycle this month I am Hacking a Fixer Upper Style Wall Decor item commonly seen on the show. I guess it would be more accurate to say “inspired” by a piece on the show. I know you have all seen the round pieces Joanna Gaines commonly hangs on the walls of the homes she styles. They have a half round cover on the bottom front and she fills them with greenery or dried Cotton stems.
I searched the internet high and low for a pic but could not find one. I did have this picture I took when I was at Magnolia Market of a similar item. The Fixer Upper decor Item in this pic is round but not solid like the one I’ve seen on the show but hopefully, it will jog your memory.
The Inspiration (or something close to it!)
The Fixer Upper show version is solid backed and has a solid front cover halfway up to about where the shelf is on these.
I found these Cheese Crates and for some reason it made me think of this round Fixer upper wall Decor piece.
I removed the lid……
Cut it in half………
Painted it gray(of course)……..
Stapled the half covering on to the round……..
Added a hanger on the back top…….
Looking good and rustic??
Tucked in some greenery…….
The Money Shot! All done! Rustic Fixer Upper Inspired Farmhouse Decor!
I hope you are inspired by my Fixer Upper Style Piece! The question is………
Do you have what it takes to take on your own Fixer Upper Thrift Store Decor Challenge?
